PANAMA IN THE MARITIME INDUSTRY
The Caribbean/Panama Canal/America region is very dynamic, with vessels of all types (tankers, chemical/container carriers) running routes.
Over 14,000 transits per year through the Panama Canal, handling over 5 percent of the world’s global trade. Increased number of transits due to the Panama Canal Expansion Project, to be concluded on 2016-2017.
New developments in existing ports and the construction of new ports in the Caribbean zone, as well as ongoing advances in transportation infrastructure for cargo logistics.
New regulations for environmental safety equipment starting to take effect in the area (4th ECA, Caribbean Sea, 2014)
Service potential is not limited to offshore/marine equipment. Land installations can also be serviced (manufacturing, water treatment plants, etc.).
With over 200 vessels in sight at all times, Panama is the place to be!
